alice nine. Tour 2008 [ DISCOTHEQUE play like "A' RAINBOWS ]

Firstly, to all those who actually GOT to go to alice nine's Rainbows' lives and see this group perform in person, I just wana say...

 I HATE YOUUUU AM FREAKING JEALOUS OF YOUUUUUUUU! *squats down at a dark corner and sulks*

Huhu T.T But nahhh, I can't possible hate u guys ( but won't deny on the jealous part >.<; ) but seriously lo, u have attended what must be one of the most fun-est, syok-est and best concerts ever!

Honestly, among all the other alice nine concerts I've seen, their Rainbows' live was BY FAR one of their best (yet ^^)! Not only coz the boys truly gave their 100%, but I believe the whole production team and their staff truly strived to make it an excellent concert, that even us who can only watch alice nine perform on the screen can truly take-in the whole atmosphere of that concert.

Arigatou Lighting-person-san, for making the cool light effects that just blew me away and perfectly complimented alice nine's performance throughout the whole night (note to mention for helping creating many really memorable moments~ )

Arigatou-Cameraperson-san for taking various shots that successfully captured the beauty and rawness of the concert, as well as daring to be experimental with the camera that resulted in showing Absolutely Gorgeous scenes (Great angles + Shadows and Misc. Ligthing effects = BEAUTIFUL CINEMATOGRAPHY! Never mind it's just a concert performance, it was really THAT good!)

Arigatou Stylist-san for giving alice nine awesome attire that fit in perfectly with a Rainbow theme, Arigatou Editor-san for doing such an excellent job that made watching the DVD an experience on its own, and also for smoothly transitioning the performance and behind-the-scenes clips!

Arigatou to all the fans present that night, for giving so much love, cheers and headbanging' that further ignited the night, never failing to cheer whenever they can and no doubt, had given the band such a huge buzz and rush.

And of course, Arigato gozaimasu to alice nine for simply rocking out, and at some times delivered such suprisingly heartfelt and almost-unplugged-like performances that left me gawking a bit (didn't really get to see this side of them in their previous concert clips - actually, have they done anything like that before even? ^-^;;;). And.....while watching the dvd, I couldn't help but notice that I was having the same exact giddy-and-extremely-proud feeling when I watched my first ever god concert (god 2001 concert) so, YAY! <3

Plus, I can't help but sayang each of the members more now after watching this! It's funny how easy it is to kinda figure what lil'quirks they each seem to have ( Saga-chan likes fooling around in front of the cam when they're backstage! And doesn't seem to care if he looks like a dork while doing so, lol) - and obviously, gaining more respect from me after seeing that all of them are really damn bladi' talented in their own right!

So here I'll post one of my many fav. things of each member that I noticed and learnt of from the concert ; 

:: NAO ::

Okay, see this pic of a Chow Chow



and take note of that feeling you're having right now. If you're like me, you're basically going 'EEEEEE KYAAAA MYGAWDSOFREAKINGCUUUUUTE, fwuffy-fwuffy cuuuuute~~~~~~ Must kidnap and hide at home so can puas-puas squeeze-squeeze and play with cute bundle of very fwuffy' fur <333 '

Yeaaaaa, so basically, THAT feeling, is what I have towards Nao right now *___* (ok, minus the 'puas-puas squeeze-squeeze and play' part ... I think xP ). Honestly, despite being the oldest member AND the Leader, you can't help but view him as lil' kid at times - and gosh, he made me LOL so much during the backstage clips with his attempts at 'disturbing' his fans xD  And oh, I just wana declare he also probably has the most distinct sounding laugh in the world (I swear it's like a mix of a laugh and giggle that goes high pitched in the end  =.=;)

 
A very happy-go-lucky person, and is even nicknamed 'Nao-Pooh san' by his band members! (and, at this point, I really can't imagine him as the leader that has the task of controlling the boys, lol). But dude, don't underestimate this guy, coz once he hits the drums, he plays the hell out of it! He totally killed during his drum solo in the concert, and with all that energy and concentration, I really wondered if it was really Nao playing....then suddenly he looks at the cam, flashes a quick big smile and instantly you'll go Aawww~ Yeap, that is the dorky leader Pooh-san we all know and love =D

  Yesh, that is indeed a baseball bat. Need I explain more about Nao-Pooh san? xD

:: TORA ::

Statue Tiger! Lol~ But, ehm.... *thinks back about the concert* haha *recalls what Tora did* HAHA *imagines back his various facial expressions* PUAHAHAHAHA~! *starts rolling on the floor, laughing like mad* My gosh, CharleneTasu, GraceChichi! You HAVE to see the amount of Tora-expressions that were caught on cam - damn lawak, and the cam really had him at weirdest angles sometimes, lol XD But aww Tora, don't worry, if there's one thing for sure,



is that you, as always, look damn kakkoi' playing your guitar =) And oh ya ya! Tora actually got a KISS from someone! (Which actually took him by surprise and later made him fall to the floor and laugh like maddd xP Happy guessing who his 'attacker' is, haha!)

:: SAGA ::

After seeing  their rehearsals and backstage clips, I now can honestly say that, hands down, Saga is the BEST looking one when not wearing make-up. He really does have a natural beauty that I know many girls would kill for >.<; And oh, also



he had a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally nice hairstyle during the live that I absolutely adore - multiple layering involved ne (it looks damn chun' from the side I tell you!) But no worries ppl, I'm not gona go crazy and run to the nearest hairdresser with Saga's hairstyle in mind coz I am sane and well aware that to be able to pull off that hairstyle, one has to have a sharp face and features, plus have an extremely nice side profile  T.T Cisss kicks Saga far far away  (But ooh, Grace,! I would love to see u try it! I think it'll suit u well ^^) During the concert, as usual Saga made his fans scream happily at his special 'duet' with his bass *koffkoff* LOL~
 
:: HIROTO ::

PON! <3 How much more can I possibly gush about this lil' ball of energy that is super talented, and somehow managed to mature so fast that he was so hot and s_xy during the whole freakin show! (Yeah, somehow I still can't accept attaching the word 'sexy' to him yet ;_;  Huhu)



Me want HiroPon. Hide and lock up the in closet. Not the kidding. (Pweeeeeeeeety' please?) And can I just add how happy I am to find out that most of the English words that were (breathlessly) said in some of their songs were actually done by him?! Bwahahaha~ Ish, why so cute one lah wei >.<v LOL


:: SHOU ::

To my utmost surprise, the cam seemed to have captured so many shots of Shou looking so vulnerable - and one of it must've been, when, for the first time ever (for me, at least) Shou performed a song by himself, accompanied by ONLY a pianist. Yesh, this was indeed a first for me to see him sing without the 4 boys surrounding him and somehow I could almost sense how nervous he must've been - it's well known that Shou has little self-confidence (wtf, why would you ever think that Shouuuuuu!) and every year has strive to improve himself so that he, as quoted by himself, " Can be a singer that earns my rightful place in alice nine and stand proud and be an equal to each of them".T_T I wonder if you've forgotten Shou, that the rest have blogged and said they ARE lucky to have you as their singer, and like Hiroto wrote, 'I believe we do have the best vocalist in the whole entire world!'  So hush you always-perasan-bidak-and-now-perasan-not-good-enough boy! *hugs Shou*

So yeah, after Shou finished performing an acapella-like version of that song, I seriously wanted to stand up and clap for him non-stop (And I might've actually cried a bit that 1st time). Easily that was one of my top 5 fav.performances of that night - finally being able to hear Shou sing on his own, I realized just how unique and raw his vocals were. Is he a good singer? Hell yesh! Those high notes getting hit properly is no easy feat! But is he the best? Definitely not, but I can say this - Shou's voice is Shou's alone, and having that tinge of rawness with it, I'm so thankful and proud that he is indeed THE vocalist of alice nine (=

Plus, I would like to declare that I honestly believe that, along with Ho Young, Shou's smile may have the ability to stop war and possibly allows him get away with ANYTHING.



Note: This pic is beautiful, but it really doesn't do justice to the smile Shou gives when you see him perform. I remember seeing him smile in the concert for the first time, and I SWEAR, I really think my heart actually freaking skipped a beat. Yesh, it's that cliche' line from most tween books about girls who fall in love at first sight, yada yada. But in my case, it was just a moment of being caught up in a beautiful smile.

It wasn't like he was posing and smiling for the camera. It wasn't that he was doing so coz he knew he had to look good on stage. It was simply him being happy - standing and singing on stage with his best buddies, overlooking  the sea of meaningful smiling faces cheering along with him.

That, my friends, was a smile STRAIGHT from the heart. Nothing could be more honest and beautiful than that for a fan like me. And the fact that Shou smiled happily soooo much during the show didn't help me in trying to ignore my heart didn't fail to skip each time he did ^-^

And on that note, I'd also like to add that other than Shou, Nao, Saga, Tora and Hiroto were smiling a whole lot during the concert too, so that just made the concert a whole lot more meaningful and memorable (=

THANK YOU alice nine ! For giving me such an awesome and precious memory that I'll keep locked forever in my memory treasure box <3

Okay, I actually forgot that Japanese dvds can't be watched on Malaysia's dvd players coz most Japanese dvds are of Region Code 2, which means it's only playable in Japan, Europe, Middle East and South Africa. Hurrr.

Why the freaking heck is my alice nine dvd playing very normally on my dvd player in my living room?!?!?!

Like, KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!

OMFG *runs around happily in circles*

Okay, dammit, it's like 2 am now, and I still need to take a shower but HELL, there's no way I'm going to sleep now after accidentally seeing the beginning of the concert already!

Let's just hope I won't be late for my 12noon outing later, gehhhh~

But oh my gosh, PON-BABY, MATTE' KUDASAIIIIIII ! <3 I foresee me hugging the tv screen a lot later LOL
